Daniel Sahuleka is scheduled to play in Jakarta this weekend. For a reason, I cannot go to his gig at JakJazz. I have another thing to do at the same exact time.

Few years ago, I wrote letter to his email, just after his gig at Java Jazz. It was Java Jazz 2006, I think. He was so kind in replying fans’ email. We did some correspondence after that email.

So, when I knew that he’s going to town again, I tried to email him. Just to show a deep guilty feeling that comes after knowing his schedule at JakJazz. I hope, he will do a side show. But now, I’m pessimist he’s going to have another show.

And yes, he replied!  

My first letter was sent on last Friday. It was like this:

“Dear Daniel,

This is Felix Dass. I hope you still remember me. I know that you will perform in JakJazz next week. But unfortunately I cannot attend the show. On Saturday, I'll have some work to do. Too bad. Will you play another show in Indonesia? Please let me know, Daniel.

Thanks! Hopefully we can meet in Jakarta.
Felix.”

He replied on saturday:

“Hey kid, too bad for you, you can't attend the JakJazz 2008. I'm now buzy with packing my bags.
As far as i know, i don't know whether there is another show to be make. I will find out when i get there in JKT.
Keep it cool Felix..

I just checked that email few minutes before I wrote this entry. Damn! On 2007, I found like five or six of his records on vinyl format. I really wanted to have them autographed by Mr. Sahuleka. So, I replied his email (again). It went like this:

“Yes,

Hopefully there will be a side show.
Cannot wait to bring my vinyls and get it autographed by you.

Felix.”

I’m hoping there will be a sideshow. Any info please let me know. It’s a big choice to miss his gig (again). Arrrgghhhh… (pelukislangit)
